Question Pioneer X-HM71-K Wireless DNLA CD and HiFi and WMA VBR more than 320kbps

I have (just) noticed that a number of WMA files that I thought I had played successfully through this device no longer play. I currently have the device set as a Pioneer Network Audio Player, and it appears that the files in question are WMA VBR files encoded at the highest VBR quality - resulting in an identified bitrate of more than 320kbps. I have had a quick look at the configuration file PioneerN and it would seem to recognise this limitation, but I can't see any way to ensure that any such files are automatically transcoded down to an accepted bitrate.

Should any files which are identified as having a bitrate more than supported be automatically transcoded/downsampled?
If so, what am I missing - should I be using one of the other profiles?

    Hi,
the device profile has a maximum limit on the WMA files of 320kbps so your files will be streamed natively without transcoding. Files that are greater than 320kbps will be transcoded to a lower bitrate. If your files played previously using this profile then it could be a problem for Mezzmo server to open the files, please try right-clicking on one of the files in the Mezzmo application and select 'Play' to see if it plays and this will verify if the path is correct. You could also try pre-transcoding http://www.mezzmo.com/wiki/doku.php?id=pre-transcoding_files&s[]=pre&s[]=transcode your files and this should allow them to play.
