    Default Android App suggestions/issues

    Hi,

I've been using the android app for a couple days and have suggestions I wan't to share:

    - When playing a file to a non-local device (like a chromecast) from the metadata view, the page could automatically change to the "now playing" view.

    - When stopping a file, the view could change back to the media view.

    - ISSUE: When playing a local file on my phone (samsung S7 edge) the hardware android buttons of the phone stay light up while movie is playing.

    - In the Media view, The folder path control and "now playing" control are side by side. When using a phone in portrait, those 2 controls become a bit cramped. Maybe there can be a better way to layout them (on top of each other maybe?).

    - The French translations could be better (I could help).

    Cheers

    Hi,
    thanks for the feedback.
We can add a setting to allow switching the view to the "now playing" view automatically as it may not suit everyone to have it automatically change views while browsing and playing media files.
We will investigate the hardware button issue to see if we can find a solution.
Can you please provide a screenshot of the layout issue with the Media view so we can better understand the issue?

If you would like to improve the French translations we would appreciate your help, please send an email to support [at] conceiva [dot] com and we can provide you with the translation files so that you can edit them.

    Email sent,

True, I guess not everyone would in all situations, but I do always change views right after starting playback to be able to pause/seek the video. I rarely want to keep reading the metadata once the video is started.

Just realized that once in the "now playing" view, hitting the back button does come back to the media view, so ignore the second suggestion.

Here are the screenshots, this is a very minor issue only present on a phone in portrait mode.

In landscape the layout is quite nice:

But in portrait, the controls are harder to see and use:

I understand what you mean now, we will look at possibly positioning them on top of each other or some other arrangement that works better.
