Default default audio track in MKV

    Hello All,

I was wondering why some of my mkv files were reencoded by Mezzmo when, for the same device and using the same video/audio codecs and settings, other were not.
So I have tried to mux/demux some of them to find what was the source of this behavior.
My conclusion is that Mezzmo transcode mkv files even compatible ones when the first audio track is not tagged "default".

I have attached both FFMPEG logs done with two demux/remux of the same video. The two logs are perfectly identical excepted:
file 1 : first audio is tagged "default" (=>mezzmo will not try to transcode the file)
file 2 : first audio is not the one tagged "default" (=>mezzmo will tryto transcode the file)
    file 2.txtfile 1.txt

Is it a Mezzmo issue ? Is there any setting forcing him to "not transcode the file even if the first audio track is not the default one"?
Are my files wrong to MKV standards by not having their first audio track set as the default one?

    Thank you for your help
    Eric

    Default

    Hello again,

I have finally found the solution (I was looking for it for weeks... and few hours after having written my question here I thought of a solution ):
in streaming settings I have removed all "prefered languages" then "update all files". Now it is working well : the mkv is sent without any trancoding directly to my device on which I can choose the audio stream.
