    Default Problems With 5.1

I wanted to check and see if anyone else is having this issue:

Everything worked great in 5.0, and I had all of my files already transcoded. When I upgraded to 5.1, all of my files keep trying to transcode to the new hls, even though I already have my files transcoded. Both through the Roku Media Player and the new Mezzmo Player, my shows are cutting off toward the end, coming up with an "Invalid Media Type" error. Since it keeps trying to transcode with hls, I went ahead and deleted my original transcode for a couple of episodes and pre-transcoded them using hls...they still cut off toward the end of the episode with both media players. I am hoping this is an easy fix, but if not, is there a way to revert back to the last version I was on?

    Thanks,

    Shawn

    Hi Shawn,
the Roku 7.5 firmware has a very short timeout when requesting files so if Mezzmo does not respond quickly enough it can stop playing with an error, we have added retry handling for this so you can try installing the Mezzmo beta channel https://my.roku.com/add/MezzmoBeta to see if this works better. Also please send an email to support [at] conceiva [dot] com and we will send you a patch to try as we have made some fixes to the hls streaming since the 5.1 release.

If you had pre-transcoded to mpegts in 5.0 this will cause Mezzmo to transcode the file again as mpegts does not support seeking on the Roku so we have replaced this with hls. You can uninstall Mezzmo 5.1 and reinstall 5.0.5.0 from http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread...ions-of-Mezzmo if you still have problems after trying the patch and want to go back to the previous version.
