    Default Curious about something

When I am looking at the playlists, sometimes, but not all the time, if I have watched something, a "check mark" will show up next to the title.

However, there are times when I'll watch something, and as soon as it's over, I'll see the check mark appear. Other times, it will not.

Why would a check mark not show up on a title that I have (just or already) watched?

I suspect it has to do with the play count - but here's the weird part. I will have just finished watching something. No check mark shows up. I look at the folder through the Mezzmo application, and it shows a last watched date, but the play count still says "0". Why ?

    Hi Joe,
can you please tell us more about the device you are using so we can understand more about what is happening? Is it Kodi?

Mezzmo updates the playcount when a percentage of the file has been watched, this may not get hit if you resume the video from a point then watch it to the end. If you are using Kodi then the check mark is managed by Kodi until you reload the playlist from Mezzmo and then the values get updated from the Mezzmo database so the playcount value from Mezzmo will determine if the check mark is shown in this case.

It's an Android device (NextD) and I am running Kodi with the Mezzmo plugin.

    Here's an example -

I will watch a show to completion. When the video ends, in the playlist the solid circle will change to a circle with a check mark inside to indicate it's been watched. This is normal behavior I assume.

I have noticed however, that upon completion of some shows that solid circle doesn't change to a circle with a question mark - so I check out the properties of the video from within the Mezzmo app. The last viewed timestamp is correct, but the play count says 0. This is not correct.

I am at a loss to understand why this is.

It could be that at the time of updating the playcount the Mezzmo database is locked so after trying and failing over and over Mezzmo gives up and does not update the playcount. Can you please enablehttp://www.mezzmo.com/wiki/doku.php?id=using_logging&s[]=diagnostic then after restarting your Mezzmo media server try to reproduce the problem then send the logs to support [at] conceiva [dot] com so we can investigate?
