Default Support for trailers, extras & such

Does Mezzmo have or will it in the future have support for trailers & extras associated with movies or series? That way the video files for these things won't show up separately in the interface. It was one of the nicer features of Plex when I was trying it out a while ago. Mezzmo won out in the comparison but there were a few things like this that would be nice to have.

Never used it, but Mede8er media players seem to have kind of a neat setup for trailers on the GUI:

I have been downloading and keeping the trailers in the movie folders for my rips for the last couple of years in anticipation of some kind of support for them in the future.

We could provide movie trailers in a similar way to mede8er and just have a button or link on the details page to the trailer. We would need to add the trailer link or file path into the metadata stored in the database and also collect trailers from themoviedb.org. Can you please tell us more about the file naming for your movie trailers that you are saving in the movie folders so that we can get an idea of the matching that would be required to detect these?

I just keep the default title that TinyMediaManager uses:

    <file>-trailer.ext

We had discussed this as part of the Kodi add-on too. It would be nice if you could use on-line sources as well as locally stored trailers. The WD Live boxes support playing the on-line trailers. I am not sure which source they use.

Mezzmo has a Channel you can add to your library for Movie Trailers, http://www.mezzmo.com/wiki/doku.php?id=adding_channels&s[]=trailers

I was thinking something more along the lines of a button in the info panel of the Kodi add-on which could either play a local or launch an Internet trailer for the specific movie in a small trailer window. That way you could preview a movie prior to watching. .

Yes it would be good to have the trailer available from the movie's description, we will implement this when we get time available.
