    Default Capture devices compatibility

Has anyone successfully tested streaming the Startech Capture devices with Mezzmo?

Planning to buy the USB2HDCAPM that would capture HDMI @30fps from USB 2.0.

Has anyone tested any other device? Or may I get in trouble with drivers and stuff?

    Thanks

From reading the description of it, the capture device will record the input to a file on the PC so once recording completes you can add this file to Mezzmo. If you want to stream live content from the device it will need to output to a URL but I cannot see anything in the description about that.

I heard from their support, if Mezzmo uses DirectShow, it should have no problems. Does Mezzmo use DirectShow?

Yes when adding a capture device Mezzmo uses DirectShow to stream the video and/or audio. So using this device should be similar to using a webcam, see http://www.mezzmo.com/wiki/doku.php?id=streaming_webcams&s[]=capture for more information
