Hi,
you can try going to 'Media Server Settings' and set the Mezzmo server to run as a Windows Console process to see if the server starts. If it does start correctly and run you can then try going back and changing it to run as a Windows Service again to see if it will start.

When you change from console mode to service mode Mezzmo should automatically create the service.

It does not... After clean install I get this error:

After a clean install the Mezzmo server should be set to run as a console process then you would need to change it to run as a Windows service and at this point do you see this error? It may be that the service registration is failing for some reason, please enable diagnostic logging http://www.mezzmo.com/wiki/doku.php?id=using_logging&s[]=diagnostic then try setting the Mezzmo server to run as a service and then after the error appears send the logs to support [at] conceiva [dot] com and we will have a look.

I changed the server process to console mode. Doing so I got a popup from Windows Defender Firewall to allow access – which I did (for Local Networks).
I could then successfully start the server process via the console.
Then I tried to switch back to service mode which immediately created error messages and led to a dead-end loop from which I could only escape by killing Mezzmo entirely.
After restarting Mezzmo’s console I could revert to console mode which seems to work ok,
Logs of the entire series of actions have been sent via separate email.
sent my logs to you. Hope you will find whats wrong :/
