Default Problen with new beta ver streaming from outside network

Hi i have found a problem with the new beta ver. When you try to connect to the server (outside the network) using your phone or tablet it shows the folders and the names of the files but no pictures. Also it will not push the file to the device selected or even play on the local device.

There is a problem with the beta when using an IP address to connect to the server, if you use a domain name it should work fine.

ok cool ill give it another try and see what happens one last thing the extra software you say is needed for the https: connection is it only needed if you wish to run https: over a web browser and it will not effect anything apart from that eg is it also needed to connect with the android app?. im guessing you do not need that extra software if you wish to not use https: thanks again

Correct, the extra software is only needed if you want to use https.
