Default "Not supported file format" on Samsung UE40C6700

    Hi there,

I'm running the trial version 2.1.11 of Mezzmo and I like the software a lot.
Actually it seems to be the only media server that is working correctly with my samsung TV and I would like to buy it. But unfortunaltely I still have some problems with it.
Mezzmo is running propperly on an WHS, connected to an AVM fritzbox with newest firmware. The TV (with Samsung WLAN USB Stick) recognizes Mezzmo as soon as it becomes available and I can browse folder, watch pictures or listen to music on TV without any problem. So far so good.
But when I want to watch movies, for some files (*.avi files - Video-codec MPEG-4 part2) I get the error message "Videocodec not supported" even if the thumbnails on TV are already showing the correct content of the movies.
The strange thing is, that some other files, with same video-codec are played correctly.

    - Transcoding is activated
    - Samsung C is automatically detected by Mezzmo

Any idea what I can do?
    Thanks and best regards
    Michael

Please send a message to support (at) conceiva (dot) com and we'll send an updated device profile to try.

Some files will not play on the TV, even if the codecs seem to match, in this case it's best to check those files using the PCSM (Samsung's software) - if that doesn't play those files, then it's a hardware (firmware) issue. It's still possible to play them by forcing transcoding and a future Mezzmo update will make that even easier.

    HI!

I have the same problem with my Samsung LN55c610 TV

Is the fix working for this tv too?

How long can we test your software? as I'm currently testing with the demo.

So far this is the most compatible software with my samsung TV (Two day old) and can play 1 files in MKV format (from my 1200 video that I have) (Mostly divx, wmv and x264)

Edit: forget about time of the demo I saw it on help files. As for fix, i'm able to get almost all video playable witn Samsung B profiles but no MKV on the other hand, I can play MKV on Samsung C but nothing else.

    Hi turtle, msauer & vitesse,

Did you end up getting those movies to work? Did Conceiva fix the issue?
I too had issues with certain mkv.

Can you please post me the movie information that "MediaInfo" grabs. I think I might know why they don't work.

http://www.microsoft.com/expression/..._Overview.aspx just encode the files that won't play, that fixes the issue. Use Microsoft Encoder 4, the free version.

You can re-encode your files manually if you wish, but Mezzmo transcodes (converts/encodes) your incompatible files on-the-fly or lets you pre-transcode them before streaming for all your devices. So there is no requirement for using or purchasing a separate encoder product.
