The C5500 will play random, with music at least. Once yuo select a tune and it begins playing, select "tools" and then arrow right or left until you get "shuffle". I learned Sony players do not have and random feature and that is the reason I took my new Sony back and bought Samsung.

My question is a bit off topic but in relation to reordering playlists, when I create a playlist of JPEGs in Mezzmo it dutifully places my files in the order that I add them - exactly how I would like to be able to view them on my Panasonic TV. However when I play the playlist through the Panasonic they are displayed in alphabetical order - not in the order which I added them and they appear in my playlist in Mezzmo on my PC. So my question is, is this a limitation of the TV or is it Mezzmo and are there any plans to implement the feature I want?

When files are delivered to a device they're sorted alphabetically (in most cases). Some devices will actually ask for a specific sort order as well, so that will override any sorting you may have in the playlist. In your particular case, I think that the files are unsorted in Mezzmo (which is the default), thus they appear in the order you added them in, but are sorted alphabetically when sent to the TV. At the moment, there's still no functionality to sort playlists/files from within Mezzmo (with the exception of smart/active playlists where you can specify a sorting order), but it's coming soon.
