    Default Web Server Logging

Can you add some web server logging in the future ? I am not looking for a full W3C web server logging implementation but at least the main things like successful logins, failed logins and files being played..

There is this level of logging right now. As an admin level user, click on the Settings icon in the Mezzmo web interface and click the REPORT link. See http://www.mezzmo.com/wiki/doku.php?...rface_settings for more details.

    Paul,

I'm not sure this works as intended. It seems to show only the current (admin) user login. Any previous logins by other users are not indicated.

Is there another switch which needs to be on in the options?

    Hi Marty,
I tested it here by logging in to another browser using a different user account and the account appeared in the report page, are you logging in using the same account or different accounts?

    Hi Peter,

It appears to only show current logins, not historical. I logged in as admin in Firefox and then logged in as me in Chrome. The report showed Admin and Marty as active, but when I logged Marty out and refreshed the report it only showed Admin as logged in. There was no indication that Marty had been previously logged in. I would have expected to see Marty's last login date and Session Expired = Yes.
    Cheers,
    Marty Davey.

I also just noticed after refreshing the report, Admin's login time is displayed as the current time, not login time. This is updated with each refresh. Other user's login time is shown correctly while they are logged in.

PS. Should we move this thread to Questions & Support?
    Cheers,
    Marty Davey.

The Admin login time may be refreshed when the page is refreshed so this is why it shows as the current time. The information is session based so once the server is restarted the information is lost.
It looks like this feature might need some enhancement to provide the functionality you require so we can leave it in the wishlist.

Thanks, Peter, that would be great.

Ultimately, I'd like to see logs available from the Mezzmo GUI which detail user logins, what they watch or download, and their logouts. It may be a big ask, but then I did say "ultimately" to which you could put any time frame. lol.

And on a similar line, it would be nice to set on a per user basis whether the play count and last played date is updated by a web user, perhaps a checkbox in the User properties dialogue. For instance, when my daughter logs in and watches a show I don't want it to appear in the Last 50 Played list, but if I login and watch a show it should update those fields and appear in the Last 50 Played list. Food for thought.
    Cheers,
    Marty Davey.
