    Default Simple 'Play To' Questions

I've had Mezzmo for so long, it's part of the furniture.
But I suddenly decided to play my music on my PC, and not on my TV. And I can't figure it.

I just want to play a list of music tracks on my PC. Say just an album consisting of several tracks.
I click a Playlist which represents the album.
In the main pane I select a number of tracks
I right-click on the first track and click 'Play'
    Mezzmo does this:
    - Picks a random track out of the selected ones
    - Hands control over to iTunes
    - iTunes displays its last-displayed playlist (completely dissociated with Mezzmo)
    - iTunes plays the single random track and stops

My main problem is that I want to play several tracks without selecting another each time one finishes.

A second problem is related to 'Play To'.
I have 8 devices in my Mezzmo Device List, including a firestick, TV, Windows Media Player..., My PC?, printer, others
When I click 'Play To' - either via right-click, or via the Play To pane - I only see one - the firestick
    Any ideas why?

    Hi,
Mezzmo is a media server and not a player, when you select to play a file from the context menu the file is played with the default program in Windows. To play files one after another you will need a DLNA/UPnP Client on your PC. You can use Windows Media Player, it is possible to enable Windows Media Player to act as a renderer so that you can control it using Play To in Mezzmo.

Only devices that are Digital Media Renderers (DMR) are listed in the Play To menu so while you have many devices in the device list only the firestick is a DMR and gets listed in the Play To menu.

Mezzmo Android: Install it on your tablet, smartphone, Android TV or Amazon Fire to browse and stream files from your Mezzmo library to all your devices. Full details at http://www.conceiva.com/products/mez...mo_android.asp

You can run Kodi on your PC and set it up as a DMR or it can access Mezzmo and play locally if you want to control from your PC. I spent quite a bit of time trying to get Windows Media Player to be a DMR with little to no success. It also has other uPNP / DLNA client issues. The nice thing about Kodi is that it runs on about everything. I have a number of Raspberry Pis running it and even have a whole house headless DMR running on a Raspberry Pi for music throughout our house.

Thanks for the replies. It surprises me that Mezzmo can't play fully on the PC, but I've got Kodi, so that sounds the simplest route.

I'll also investigate enabling WMP as a renderer.

Kodi can operate as a renderer also, check the settings in Kodi to enable remote control via UPnP.

I had no luck with WMP as a renderer. Kodi works well as one. I use Raspberry Pis running Kodi as headless renderers but a PC with Kodi will work too. Kodi also has a far broader codec support. WMP is limited especially for specific audio formats found on DVDs.
