Default Thumbnails for the Season disappear after viewing an active playlist

Something that I have finally been able to put together over some time. I have most of my TV Series displayed via Active Playlists

    Group By First Letter -> Album/Series -> Disc/Season

In the directory of each season I have "poster" and "folder". The thumbnail/poster would originally populate for the seasons properly but the library would lose them from time to time and just replace the poster with one of the screenshots. I couldn't figure it out for the longest time but now I have discovered that it's when I watch an episode in that season.

For instance, I have the TV Series Brooklyn Nine-Nine. All five seasons populated with the proper thumbnail ("poster" or "folder" from the related season folder). Let's say that I go in and watch Season 3, Episode 8. When I come back to the library, the poster from Season 3 will have been replaced by some other screenshot from inside the Season folder. I can go in and correct it each time but that's kind of annoying.

    Thanks.

Mezzmo will try to get a poster for the folder when you browse the folder, this can be from the folder.jpg or poster.jpg or the thumbnail from one of the files in the folder. Do the files have screenshots as the thumbnail?

Yes, the individual files have screenshots and that is what is replacing the <poster>/<folder>

Here are the contents of a typical folder, in this case for the series Breaking Bad:
    Breaking Bad Folder.jpg

Here are the contents of the Season 3 folder. Every Season has the related <poster> and <folder> in its folder. Each episode has the .mkv, .nfo, .srt and a .jpg that is a screenshot:
    Season 3 Folder.jpg

Here is how the playlist looks after the original scan and maintenance (before anything is played):
Breaking Bad How it should look.jpg

Here is how the playlist looks in Mezzmo and on any devices after I have watched S03E03:
    Breaking Bad After Playing S03E03.jpg
It replaces the original, desired thumbnail and replaces it with one of the screenshot .jpg's inside the folder.

    After playing S04E05:
    After playing Breaking Bad S04E05.jpg
Now Seasons 3 & 4 have the screenshot thumbnail instead of the poster.

If I go back in and manually correct the poster/thumbnail it becomes static and won't change again.

    Does this help?

For active playlists Mezzmo will get the poster from the first file to use as the poster for the parent playlist, there is some code for series to try and get the poster from the season folder but this may not be working correctly in this case. If you can make a copy of the folder structure without the video files and send us the folders and images we can test it here to try and reproduce and fix the problem.
