Thread: No audio when add Youtube url

  1. #1

Default No audio when add Youtube url

I am using Mezzmo 5.1.1.0. When I add Youtube URL, there is no audio (video is OK). I opened Properties/Video for that link. The "Preferred Audio channel" and "Auidio codec" fields both are blank.

Just tried Dailymotion. Everything is OK. Both video and audio are working.

    Hi,
can you please try updating to the latest version, there is an issue with the plugin for YouTube getting videos that are split into video and audio components which was fixed in 5.2.0.0.

Mezzmo Android: Install it on your tablet, smartphone, Android TV or Amazon Fire to browse and stream files from your Mezzmo library to all your devices. Full details at http://www.conceiva.com/products/mez...mo_android.asp

Yes! Youtube works in updated version! Only problem that titles of the clips look something like "watch?v=wmy2vtevoda". I couldn't find the way to edit them (In the "Property" window all titles are OK).

Mezzmo should add the title of the YouTube video as the title of the item, could you please tell us which video you tried which did not show the title correctly?

For example, let's take "How To Add Videos To A Playlist On YouTube - Tutorial". Link from the browser address box is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3idk...ature=youtu.be. Title in the Mezzmo is "watch?v=3idkI6S65UE&feature=youtu". I also tried to take the link from "Share" - https://youtu.be/3idkI6S65UE. Title in this case is "3idkI6S65UE". As I said this is on the Mezzmo's main screen. In the "Property->General" title is correct -"How To Add Videos To A Playlist On YouTube - Tutorial"

Another example. Link for Daylimotion video: https://dai.ly/x64rzgl. Mezzmo is showing as a title "x64rzgl"

One more thing in addition to the title problem. If I add URL for the single clip (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KTY8Lc36f5w), then clip is playing fine. If I add the whole youtube playlist (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...qgTM4myok0KNk3), which contains the same clip, then it's showing "Video is unavailable" for that clip. What I noticed in the second case it becomes https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kty8lc36f5w (k, t and l are not capital).

Problem with the titles has been solved. For the folder, containing Youtube links, go to "Properties"-> "Display Titles"->"Presets" and choose "%TITLE%"

The parameters to the URL are stored in the database as upper and lower case, it is just in the properties window they are shown in lower case. I tried adding the playlist here and the video played.

Mine didn't. So again, the problem is when I add playlist link, all clips from that playlist become not playable. The reason is, that Mezzmo converts their urls into lowercase. But Youtube links are case sensitive.

Mezzmo keeps the urls in upper and lower case, can you please enable diagnostic logging http://www.mezzmo.com/wiki/doku.php?id=using_logging&s[]=diagnostic then try playing the video from the playlist then send the logs to support [at] conceiva [dot] com so we can see Mezzmo server retrieving the video from the server and this will show why the file is failing to play.
