Thread: Samsung C5500 Blu Ray - Device Disconected Error

    Dennis,

I've got the error once again. It is not possible to watch a complete movie.
Streaming stops after more or less one hour.

Mezzmo itself keeps running, and the TV does not loose its connection.

I will move my mezzmo installation away from my system drive, so I have more room for the log files

    Hi,
I also have a Samsung C5500 BluRay player (not a 3D model) and experienced the same problem with disconnection from the server as explained below by another user.

The C5500 will recognize Mezzmo and things seem to work fine but eventually it will disconnect from the server and give an error stating Device Disconnected.

I can go back to the Mezzmo software and change the profile of of the Samsung from Samsung BDP to Samsung BDP 3D, then I reset the server, then switch it back to Samsung BDP and Mezzmo will reconnect to the device, but again, eventually it will disconnect.

I found that changing the device profile from Samsung BDP to Samsung BDP 3D and leaving it there resolved the issue for me.

I first noticed this with version 2.1.12. Downloaded version 12.1.13 when it came out and changed the device profile back to Samsung BDP to see what would happen. The disconnect errors reappeared. I than set the device profile back to BDP 3D and all is OK again.

Can you both send logging information to us. (instructions to turn on logging (http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread...nostic-logging)) Please start logging and then play until Mezzmo disconnects then stop the media server and then send us the logs. support (at) conceiva . com

.13 definitely appears to have fixed the crashing issue with music...I have run for as much as 12 hrs. with no crash. I still need to test video. The only issue I have now is that it appears my Samsung Bluray will only handle up to 1k files at a time, and being I have some genres of music with 7k+ songs, I need to parse them up, I guess do a Smart playlist defining genre and starting letter of song.

Hats off on release .13! I cannot get the Samsung 6500 to experience a disconnect since.....I still have a song end early now and then, but not nearly as much as prior to .13.....only about 4 times in an 8 hour day. It doesn't kill it either, just starts the next song. I still have to do extened testing with video; hopefully this weekend.

I believe I'm experiencing the disconnect as well. It happens infrequently but it does happen. I am using v2.5.0.0 with Samsung UN46D6900

Can you please enable logging (see this thread: http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread...nostic-logging) and try to replicate it? Once it happens, stop the server and send the logs to support.

Also, are you using dynamic or static IPs? Perhaps try changing to static if you have dynamic and see if that helps. Also, are you wired or wireless?
