    Default Samsung TV App

I was scrolling through available apps on my Samsung TV and was pleasantly suprised to find a Mezzmo app. I installed it and set up my server. I can scroll through my folders and play a movie just fine.

However while the movie is playing I am unable to pause or play. None of the ff/rew buttons do anything either. I can fast forward and reverse a bit at a time using the direction right and direction left buttons surrounding the "ok" button but that's it.

How do I actually control the playback?

Also, is there an LG app as well?

    Thanks in advance.

To seek, press the down button on your remote and select 'Position' then use the left and right buttons to select a position and press the select button. Pause and play buttons should work, we tested this on a few different Samsung TV models and had no problems - what model is your TV?

We are working on the LG app and will announce when it is released.

The seek/position works, but pausing and playing definitely does not work. TV is a Samsung UN32M5300 (2017 model).

    Thanks.

Does the stop button work? If it does are you able to use the resume button from the details page to resume at the previous position?

Stop, ff, rew, play and pause do nothing. Only the direction buttons and OK work. Tried with both the original remote and a Logitech universal remote.

What about using the back button while a video is playing then selecting to resume the video?

That does not work either. If I exit the app completely and go back in it will be paused at the same spot but play/pause, etc. does not work to resume. And I would of course not go through the hassle to do that just to pause. If I exit the app completely, choose another app, then go back into the app it restarts the video from the beginning.

To be honest I can choose to play through Mezzmo via DLNA on the TV without using the specific Mezzmo app and it operates just fine so I will just continue to use that.

Pressing the back button should take you back to the details page for the video where you can select to play it. Can you please tell us what the version of the app is?

Pressing the back or exit buttons just takes me out of the app completely. To get to the file selection/folder screen again I have to choose to start a different app and then return to Mezzmo. When I do it briefly shows the version number, it is V0.0.2.

Unrelated question, for the 2018 LG OLED C8 should I be using the 2017 LG profile?

The version might explain the problems, v0.0.2 is a very early version of the app, Samsung's rollout of updates of the app is quite poor so we do not have much control over the versions of the app available.
