    Default Database Size Discrepancy Question

Why is it that when I compact my database, it says that it is about 400MB, but when I back it up, it says that it is 17GB? That's a rather large discrepancy.

When you compact the database you are just compacting Mezzmo.db, when you backup the database you are backing up all the artwork files in addition to the .db files.

That makes sense, except...... The backup folder for the backup is 400MB.

This likely does not take into account the Artwork folder inside the database folder, my Artwork folder is 3.79Gb and my database is 8,557kb. Is your Artwork folder being backed up?

Apparently, for some reason, it is not.

Comparing folder sizes of the Artwork folder, it is no. I checked and could not find a checkbox or anything that I am missing.

I am going to try a re-install after taking a manual copy of the database folder. I will let you know if that fixes the artwork backing up issue.

If the path is too long then the artwork backup may fail, some filenames in the artwork are very long so you may need to move your Mezzmo database to a shorter location like c:\MezzmoDb

It's in a folder called d:\mezzmo_database\ My backup is d:\mezzmo_backup\

That being said, it looks like an uninstall and reinstall fixed the artwork backup issue.
