Default When is new version coming??

I get a lot of "[h264_qsv @ 00000000003eccc0] Warning during encoding: incompatible video parameters (5)" when using hardware decode and encode; I read that "this will be fixed in the next release"

It's been a pretty long time that we've been on 5.2.0.0 - so when is this new version coming out?

My wishlist includes "Works properly using hardware for decode and encode"

I'd also like to get a better library experience from the metadata that's inside the .ISO images that I store. 97% of the time Mezzmo can't even grok the title.

Those warnings come from ffmpeg so we would need to update the version of ffmpeg to see if this removes the warnings. Where did you read that this would be fixed in the next release?

We have a beta version that is currently in testing and will release the beta when testing completes.

How are you storing the metadata in the .ISO images? Mezzmo currently only reads the video content of .ISO images and not the metadata.

    In http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread...Transcode-fail Paul says:

This is an issue in the latest Mezzmo (v5.2.0.0). We've fixed it for the upcoming release. For the moment, go into the Transcoding Settings dialog and set the hardware acceleration to 'None' for both the decoder and encoder. Transcoding should be OK now.

    Default Metadata in .ISO images

I store DVDs and Blu-Ray discs as .ISO images, using IMG BURN for the data work and ANYDVD for the decryption

I guess I don't understand what metadata is present on a DVD. If Mezzmo can read metadata from a "ripped" DVD (.MKV files, file structure, etc) then why can't it read the metadata from an .ISO? Isn't all the metadata in the files of a "ripped" DVD present on the original optical DVD disc, of which the .ISO is an exact copy?

And, interestingly, looking at the Mezzmo web server pages, Mezzmo has given some of the .ISO's the "full treatment" - with a thumbnail, IMDB links and so on- while (most) other just show a file folder with a file inside.

I'd like to know how this works - where is the metadata read from, and what does Mezzmo do with it?

And - clearly- Mezzmo IS capable of discerning some metadata from an .ISO because my server has ONLY .ISO's on it and perhaps 20~30% of the catalog items shown in the web server view of the server have "full treatment"

DVDs do not store text metadata, only bitmap images so Mezzmo is unable to read this from the ISO. Mezzmo uses the filename of the ISO to perform and Internet metadata lookup then downloads the poster and metadata from themoviedb.org. If the name of the ISO has extra information or an abbreviated name then Mezzmo will not be able to match it to the movie on themoviedb.org and no metadata will be downloaded.

I see, so Mezzmo just uses the name of the file. Is that also true for "Ripped" DVDs?

Yes this is true for Ripped DVDs. For Mkv, Mp4 and other video files Mezzmo can read text metadata from the file but will still use the filename to try and get online metadata.
