    Unhappy CUDA and Mezzmo

I'm still evaluating Messmo as a replacement to PS3 media server (only replacing becuase of lack of support for the new sony DNLA starndard :P . Was tempted to buy until I found out some performance issues streaming 1080p MKV's. I have stuck with PS3media at the moment till I can sort it out.

    Hardware is
    mini ITX H55 gigabyte mb
i3 560 (using intel HD onboard graphics)
    4gb Ram
    win 7 64bit

Using Mezzmo - I stream a 1080p mkv to my PS3 (cat6 1gb) my CPU with go to 100% on all 4 threads after 5 minutes the video will stutter and then have a DNLA error. Computer very slowly responds to commands.
Using Mezzmo - on my BDP 370?? Sony Bluray player I can stream the same 1080p mkv (usb 300mb Wireless N ) it will play flawylessly and CPU sits at around 35 - 50%

Is it purely the fact my CPU is not good enough to transcode 1080p MKV files to the native file format of the PS3 (not sure whats its transcoding too in this case) I know on my Bluray player its transcoding the MKV to Mpeg and playing perfectly.

Your product is premium and I'm willing to pay.... but what is going on here?. I have seen threads re: ffmpeg showing 100% but apprently fixed in the version of Mezzmo I have.

    My question.
Do I need a CUDA enabled video card in my PC to help reduce the stress on the CPU trying to transcode and is you product CUDA "enabled" Whilst i'm an IT person this cuda stuff is over my head.

I appreciate any reponse that will point me in the right direction.

    THanks

Mezzmo uses FFmpeg for transcoding and that only utilizes your CPU, so the graphics card will not help. We do have an updated device profile for the PS3 that should help with transcoding - send us an e-mail to support (at) conceiva (dot) com and we'll send you a copy to try. It shouldn't be worse than the BDP transcoding.
