Thumbs down Mezzmo Media Server is very slow

    Hello,

I am using the Mezzmo Media Server version 5.2 Beta.

    My hardware:
    HP Proliant Microserver Gen8
    CPU: Intel Xeon E3-1220L v2 4x 2.3 Ghz, Turbo 3.2GHz
    RAM: 2x 8GB DDR3 HP 1866Mhz Dual Channel
Raid Controller: P222 (1GB Cache with BBU)
SSD: Samsung EVO 840 EVO 250GB System and Mezzmo DB (SATA 3)
HDD: 4x4 TB 10,000 RPM SAS (SAS)

    System:
    Windows Server 2016 Standard

    Problem:
I use the Mezzmo database on my SSD, but the access to the Mezzmo database is very slow.

I have to click several pages, which takes a long time the first time.

    Clicking again is very fast.

With a renewed registration, again very slowly.

In the meantime, I also tested Plex among other things, everything works much faster here.

I hope someone has a solution.

    Problem:
Ich verwende die Mezzmo Datenbank auf meiner SSD, aber die Zugriffe auf die Mezzmo Datenbank ist sehr sehr langsam.

Ich muss mehrere Seiten druchklicken, was sehr lange dauert beim ersten mal.

If you are browsing by folder in the web access then it may be the unplayed count that is slowing down the response times. To get the unplayed count Mezzmo needs to read all the files in the folder and check to see if they have been played and in a folder with many subfolders this can take time. To improve the response times you can try going to your DeviceProfiles (see this thread for its location: http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread...ofiles-located) folder and edit WebAccess.prf to set supportsunplayedcount=”0” in the name tag at the top of the file, then save the file and restart your Mezzmo media server to test if it helps.

If you are browsing by folder you can also try using playlists instead. The advantage of playlists over folders is that they get the content from the database instead of scanning the disk for files so they are much faster at loading.
