Default Mezzmo android cannot see Mezzmo server on Windows when on Wifi

    Hi guys.

So I have a Windows 10 computer with Mezzmo Pro and I have an android TV box with Mezzmo con it.
If I connect the W10 computer to the router with a LAN cable, Mezzmo android can see it no problem. Android TV box is connected via Wifi.
The issue comes when I connect that W10 pc with Wifi. Mezzmo android does not see it. However, Mezzmo Windows does detect a "new connection".

I disabled Windows firewall and same issue.
The interesting part is that if I use a different DNLA player on Android it works perfectly and sees Mezzmo Windows without a problem.

I've tried troubleshooting this as much as I could but is there anyway to see some logs of why Mezzmo android cannot see Mezzmo Windows when on Wifi?

    Thank you.

Possibly the multicast messages from the server are being blocked when using wifi and the other DLNA player has cached the server's ip address. You can try in the Mezzmo Android app's server list making the server 'sticky' by long clicking on it when connected via LAN cable then connect via wifi and see if the server is accessible. If the multicast messages are being blocked on wifi you may need to check the settings in your router to see if anything is disabling multicast for wifi.

Mezzmo Android: Install it on your tablet, smartphone, Android TV or Amazon Fire to browse and stream files from your Mezzmo library to all your devices. Full details at http://www.conceiva.com/products/mez...mo_android.asp

Hello Peter. Thanks for getting back to me.

Unfortunately I cannot seem to fix this issue.
The router I have is a modem / router provided by my ISP so there is not much I can do with it.

I've flashed the Android device from scratch to erase all traces of cached servers. I also reinstalled Windows 10 on my main computer.

Now Mezzmo android cannot be seen via Wifi nor Lan. I've tried hooking up the Android device to LAN and the PC to LAN. Same issue.

I thought it was an issue with Mezzmo Android, but it also is an issue with Android Windows.
For example, If I try another DNLA player on Android and Mezzmo Windows, the DNLA player cannot see the server.
If I try this other DNLA player and another DNLA server on Windows, everything is seen properly.
If I try Mezzmo android and this other DNLA server on Windows, then Mezzmo android cannot see the server.

Basically, everytime Mezzmo is in the loop, the server cannot be seen.

This was working perfectly. It's not like it never worked so this is actually why this is a head scratcher.

Maybe the Android TV box has some weird android rom on it.
I will try Mezzmo Android on my Samsung phone and Mezzmo Windows, same network and everything and see if it works. If it does, then clearly something is up with the Android rom on the TV box.

    I will report back.
