    Default Interesting "Quirk"

When using an external app to play movies using Mezzmo for Android, it doesn't appear to flag the movie as viewed, like it does when you playing it through the Mezzmo internal player. I assume this is "by design", but this is an issue for those forced to use an external player because the Mezzmo Android app doesn't support their FF/RW buttons.

I have always used MX Player as an external player and recently changed to the TCL player that came with the TV and they both behave correctly in updating the play count. Which player are you using?

Not the play counter. The progress bar. Like when you play a movie and exit back out, there's a bar at the bottom of the video icon showing how much of the movie has been played so you can resume it where you left off.

    To answer your question VLC.

Ah, yes I understand now. Nah, that doesn't happen. The player usually remembers where you were in a show. Not sure if it would be possible for the player to return that info to Mezzmo. Peter will have to advise.

That said, I have edited the Display Titles settings to insert the Play Count before the Title, thus
    for Films {%PLAYCOUNT%} %TITLE%
    for TV Shows {%PLAYCOUNT%} %SERIES%: S%SEASON% E%EPISODE%: %TITLE%
and set Increment Play Count After to 90%.
So unwatched programs show with a {0} in front of them.

    It works for me.

I'm aware that it wouldn't be able to return that back to Mezzmo. The reason I pointed it out is that it is, yet another reason, why the Mezzmo Android client should be updated to support D-Pads. So that we don't have to use external players, thus disabling features of the client.
