The difference between the first file and second file is that for the first file both the video channel and audio channel are being transcoded, whereas for the second file, the video channel is being remuxed and the audio channel is being transcoded. Remuxing means copying the channel from the original file into the transcoded file. This is very fast and Mezzmo tries to do this whenever possible. Transcoding means reading the original file's format and then writing it into the transcoded file into a new format. This can be slow. The speed of transcoding a video or audio channel is affected by a few factors (not just the video resolution) - namely, the resolution of the video, the bitrate of the video/audio and the format that it is being encoded to. So, for the first file the transcoding speed will be affected by the video resolution of 1280x720, video bitrate of 2Mb/sec and h264 format.

The stuttering you are getting when viewing videos is possibly related to transcoding on-the-fly not being fast enough for real time playback. You can check this when you are getting stuttering, go to the Transcoding pane in Mezzmo and check if the file is listed there. If it is and it is marked red, then the transcoding speed is not fast enough. If this is the case, then you can reduce the video bitrate to try to increase your transcoding speed. Follow these steps:

  1. In Mezzmo, go to the Media Devices dialog and edit your device.
  2. On the Device Settings dialog, go to the Performance tab and move the Video bitrate slider halfway.
  3. Right-click on the video file, and click Properties. On the Properties dialog, go to the Transcoding tab and delete any transcoded files listed there.
  4. Try streaming the video now and see if the stuttering is no longer there or reduced - or transcoding speed has increased.
  5. Repeat these steps whilst adjusting the Video bitrate slider to get the optimal setting.

Note: There may be other factors contributing to your stuttering. See this FAQ - http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread...reaming-videos
