Will Mezzmo work for me?
We are two users with 6 PCs networked throughout the house. We also have the house wired for sound from a single audio/amplifier source (not zoned) that is also part of our home entertainment system. We want the capability to start a playlist of music from any one of the PCs using digital music stored on the network and play it throughout the house over the audio system.
I was about to get a Sonos sz90 to bridge the audio system to the PC network but we received a DLNA enabled BD Player for Xmas that seems to provide the same functionality when paired with the right software.
After some web surfing Mezzmo seems to be ideal software for managing the digital music and playlists but it is clearly geared for consolidating media from across the network to the control of one computer(server) for output to multiple DLNA devices. I want to use it on multiple computers to direct music to a single DLNA device.
Will Mezzmo work this way? It would be installed on all computers even though it would only be in use as one instance on the network at any one time. Ideally, all the computers would access a common folder of playlists, album cover graphics etc.?
I have yet to hookup the BD Player or install the Mezzmo trial.

Theoretically it may work if you point all Mezzmo's to the same database - this needs to be done manually and may or may not work. Officially I'd say that this is probably not a supported scenario, but technically, it should work

Thanks Dennis,
Can I load the program on multiple machines without violating the terms of service? There would always be only one instance running at one time.

Mezzmo can only be running on one computer at any one time - otherwise you would be violating the End User License Agreement for Mezzmo. Mezzmo has two parts to it - the Mezzmo Windows application, which you use to maintain your Mezzmo library, and the Mezzmo media server, which runs as a Windows service. The Windows service is always running, so even though you may not be running the Mezzmo application, the Mezzmo media server (Windows service) is running.
