I guess I'm looking for system configuration experience rather than reporting an issue with Mezzmo. I run Mezzmo on a Dell Precision M6300 and until recently this was routed via a pair of Ethernet switches (actually old Sky broadband routers but operating as simple switches) to my Panasonic SA-BT230 surround sound which has DLNA capability. The switches themselves are connected via Cat 5 cable and this arrangement worked perfectly (one switch is upstairs and the other downstairs). However, a recent lightning storm fried one of the switches. No problem, I thought, I have a BT Home Hub 5 for internet connectivity, I'll just use its Ethernet ports. At first this didn't work and so I fiddled with port forwarding to no avail. I then deconfigured the port forwarding changes I'd made and switched off the HH5 uPNP capability, rebooted the router and it all sprang to life. That was until tonight when I tried to watch a movie but when I switched the surround sound to DLNA mode, it searched but couldn't find the server. I tried rebooting the HH5 and it all came to life again until the HH5 completed its boot sequence at which point I lost the connection to the Mezzmo server. It appears that something untoward happens during the HH5 boot sequence after its Ethernet switch capability goes live but before the HH5 connects to the internet.

I tried using a DLNA client on my Kindle Fire HD connecting wirelessly to the HH5 and it worked as advertised (I tried both Mezzmo and Skifta clients), so it seems it's only failing on wired Ethernet. Just to be sure, I also tried connecting the server directly to the surround sound and that also worked fine.

I know I should probably be talking to BT as it's probably a faulty HH5 but I was wondering if anyone had encountered a similar problem and managed to sort it. (I hate talking to BT as I don't speak very good Hindi).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
