Hello,
Thank you for
checking out this PhenQ review and the questions!
- We have engineers working on adding subtitle support right now, so it should not be too far away. Some devices, as you know, support certain subtitle types natively (like the SRT on the Samsung) and we'll be adding that support as well. Also these
3 week diet exercises are amazing if there's a SRT file associated with a video, then you won't need transcoding (on the Samsung and some other devices), because we'll pass it to the TV and it will display the subtitles.
- FF/REW has been a really shaky issue with the Samsung TVs. SamyGo, from my understanding, actually modfies the firmware on the TV itself, so Mezzmo cannot do that. However, if SamyGo is installed, perhaps Mezzmo can take advantage of that - we'll look into this. It appears that the newer "C" series of TVs have disabled FF completely (even through their Share Manager), while the "B" series allow FF/REW on a certain set of files (AVIs mostly, I think). We're working on trying to make it work right now, so hopefully there'll be some positive results in this area as well. We are passing all the necessary information from our side (the server side), but the TV's client is the one that's not processing it (all other devices allow FF/REW).
Please let me know if you have further questions.
Dennis
