Default Mezzmo 3.1.0 Samsung TV Crashes during thumbnail creation

    Another small bug with v3.1.0...

On previous versions, If browsing on the TV to a photos folder that had not been accessed before (either on Mezzmo or the TV), i.e. no thumbs created yet. The old versions would hang for a few seconds then display the folder. 2 or 3 of the pictures would have thumbs, the rest would be a default grey icon.
If i were to navigate away and come back, then more thumbs would show until all were done.

Now on 3.1.0, there is the same 2 or 3 second delay, but the TV then shows an error:
"Request Cannot be played. MEDIA PLAY will return to the main screen".
I'm then dumped at the main menu.

If i then re-navigate to the same folder, the same error will appear until all the thumbs are created.

    thanks

    Gus

    Paul,
just a quick update, incase you had put a fix in the latest build for this, it hasnt made a difference. I didnt see anything about it in the change log so i suspect this issue is still on your list.

Also, just a note, i saw tonight this issue doesnt happen on video files, I opened a folder tonight with 6 new TV show episodes, 1 got a new thumbnail, the others were just a grey logo as expected. Once i revisit the folder, the thumbs are there. However photos cause the issue. Just a bit more info for you.

    cheers
    Gus

    Hi Gus,

Sorry - we did not fix this for Mezzmo v3.1.1. I'll make sure we address the issue next week. Can you email us a set of logs when it happens? That will help us narrow down what may be the cause.

Unfortunately, you are right, Gus. We did not fix your issue for Mezzmo v3.2.0.0. We tried to reproduce it on our Samsung TVs here & browsing photos worked fine. I'll bump it up on our development task list.

I have been having exactly the same issue since the Mezzmo 3.x upgrade on my Samsung D6300. I've been using Mezzmo for years and this has been the first issue, but unfortunately it's really annoying as half of the time it does not work correctly.
