Default Forum search not working? And confused about playing ISOs

For the past week or so, I've tried several forum searches that have not returned any results. These are searches that definitely DO have threads and titles that show up in the Mezzmo Questions & Support forum - such as ISO and BDT210 and I am signed in. I get "Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms.".

Also, I have added my ISO folder into Mezzmo and it is recognized and has been processed for the ISO I want to play. If I go to the ISO folder from my Panasonic DMP-BDT110 I can see the VOBs but I get "Cannot Play" when trying to play them. I am using the "Generic Device (NTSC)" profile. I haven't been able to find much about how streaming ISOs is supposed to work... is this correct (trying to play the VOB)?

    Thank you,
    Jan

    Device: Panasonic Blu-ray DMP-BDT110
    Profile: Generic Device (NTSC)
    Connection: Gigabit Ethernet
Server: Dual Zeon CPUs with 4 cores each at 2ghz and 8GB RAM
    Mezzmo version: 3.0.1.0

    Hi techgeek

I am sure that you will get a response from Paul and co on Monday. But in the meantime I would try and find a device profile other than Generic Device (NTSC). This will I am almost 100% sure be the cause of your problem.

You will need a more accurate device profile to be able to play your ISO as I am sure they will need to be transcoded, which will require the correct device to be known.

Maybe try some of the Panasonic devices, I see there are no close matches but you will almost certainly get further.

    Good Luck.

Hi Mark - thank you for your response. I have now tried all of the close Panasonic profiles without any change in the ability to play VOBs. However, the Panasonic BDP (MPEG-TS) profile seems to be doing better than the Generic one for playback. I've heard there's a profile for the BDT210 model which is the same as my BDT110 model with the addition of built-in wireless so hopefully it will correct the problem.
    Thank you,
    Jan

Several users reported that they got good results for his DMP-BDT210 using the 'Panasonic BDP (MPEG-TS)' device profile. Regarding your DVD VOBs not playing, it's best we see a set of logs when you stream the DVD VOB to your Panasonic DMP. Turn on logging (see http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread...nostic-logging) and restart your Mezzmo server. Try streaming the DVD video and, when it fails, stop your Mezzmo server and exit Mezzmo. Zip up all th elogs and email them to us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com.
