Default How to access stream on my panasonic

    Hi,

I just bought a PANASONIC TC-42G25. It has DLNA. When i click the vierra cast button on my remote there is nothing about media servers or messmo. how is it exactly that i tune into the stream. The Panasonic veirra shows up as a device and a LAN. The media server is running. What in the world do i do?

I hate the fact that the VierraCast does not let me access files on my server but the samsung tV does.

    thanks

We have many users with Panasonic Viera TVs, so I can assure you that Mezzmo works great with Panasonic Viera TVs.

The most probable causes for Mezzmo not to be listed on your Panasonic TV are:

    * Mezzmo media server is not running. In Mezzmo, display the Media Server Settings dialog and make sure it says that the media server is running. If not, click the Start Media Server button.

    * Your Windows firewall is not letting the Mezzmo media server through. In Mezzmo, display the Media Server Settings dialog and click the Configure Windows Firewall button. If it is disabled, then it is already fine and nothing should be wrong with your firewall. If you have another firewall, try turning it off and see it you can see Mezzmo on your TV. If you can, then you will need to configure your firewall to let Mezzmo media server through.

    * Try re-scanning/refreshing your TV for media servers on your home network. You should find something like a "scan for media servers" action in the menus on your TV. With some TVs, you need to re-scan every time you make a change or stop/start media servers.

    * Make sure that your computer and your TV are both still connected to your home network.

If you still cannot get up and running, let us know.

I'm assuming you have sorted the problem now?

VieraCast is not the way to access a media server!.

Press the Viera Tools button the remote, then select Media Server from the options displayed.

( assuming of course yours is the same as my TX-P46G15B )

Default Similar Problem - Viera TC-P500G25

I'm having the same issue as the other poster in this thread. Network Discovery is on, router (2Wire-Bell Canada, also is ADSL modem) configured, it sees the Viera as a network device (COM-MID1) and it has it's own IP address: 192.168.2.14. Checking Viera Tools, I have no network options there, only Media Player (which looks for a USB device by default), Eco, THX, Viera Cast and a couple more. I have 13 days left and certainly hope I can get this to work; it's just what I have been looking for. I also got a WD HD Live Media Player on eBay, thinking it was the HD Live TV with ethernet adapter, but it won't recognize any wireless adapters I have so Mezzmo is what I need to complete my happy home media center network.

Firewall (windows) shows no problems and is set according to allow port 53168 access as well as ports 10245, 10243, 1900, 2869 for WMP and Mezzmo as recommended from reading. AV is Panda free.

Mezzmo shows up with its library on all computers under network but Viera does not appear anywhere in control panel. If I hooked it up via DVI/RCA it would as I had a similar setup previously in my last apartment.

Your assistance will be GREATLY appreciated. If we get this working I will gladly boast about it on Facebook and my blog Will check back often for a response.

    Thanks in advance!

    Stephen

Just looking at the specs: http://www2.panasonic.com/consumer-e...702#tabsection and I'm not seeing DLNA there. Does it mention DLNA or network streaming anywhere in the manual?

Mezzmo works well with WD TV Live, but not sure what wireless adapters the device needs.

Thanks for your response Dennis. I couldn't find anything in the manual re: DLNA which is when I started to google and found your site. Thought as Viera was mentioned elsewhere my model may have it. Turns out...nope. So I'll have to find a wireless adapter for my WD TV Live. Thanks for your rapid answer. Cheers.

Dennis; the linked document does have a "LAN Port"

Sorry to post another one, but my eyes are all bleary from reading so many articles. We upgraded our electronics almost 4 years ago when moving to Canada from the US and had almost state of the art then, but I wanted to throw out one more tidbit that you may be able to think of yet another solution to being able to stream movies on our network. We also have a Denon AVR-790, no ethernet or wifi ports but media center certified. Can you think of something we can add to this to add streaming capability within our network to our tv? We have the viera 50", Denon AV Surround Receiver, a Panasonic DVD player, an unused D-Link Dir-825 Dual Band Router and the WD Live Media Player. If only I had waited a little longer to replace our receiver.........

None of the prior postings have talked about "Network Setup"!!!

I have a Panasonic Viera that works great with Mezzmo (both wired or wireless)
-- If the network setup has not been completed!

For a new TV you must complete "Network Setup"

    Wired Connection

    [Menu] on TV remote
    [Setup]
    [Network Setup]
for Network Type select <wired> if wired to the TV LAN connection
perform [Connection Test] if successful you will see "test successful"

    Wireless Connection

    [Menu] on TV remote
    [Setup]
    [Network Setup]
for Network Type select <wireless> if you have the Panasonic LAN Adaptor (my model is DY-WL10)

    Acess Point Settings
    -- "connecting"
    -- "connected" - successful

    [IP/DNS Setting]
---- for Acquire IP Address = Auto
---- for Acquire DNS Address = Auto

perform [Connection Test] if successful you will see "test successful"

    Viera Tools on TV remote
-- Viera Cast - can you see Youtube Bloomberg; yes your connected to router?
-- Media Server - can you see Mezzmo?

In Mezzmo, check Media Devices and you should have one device to wired and/or one for wireless if you have setup both

    I hope this helps someone

This says that there's no DLNA in the TV: http://www.televisioninfo.com/conten...nnectivity.htm though... Thanks for the tip regarding Network Setup - it may be a missed step by some!
