Hi,
I'd be nice if Mezzmo could keep track of which files have been viewed and not viewed yet. That data could be then used in possibly two ways:

If Allshare lets you use an external video player, try using Moboplayer as your video player. On my Xoom tablet I use PlugPlayer (DLNA client) with Moboplayer (video player) and the new Motorola...
Some additional info from Motorola (Xoom-specific, but probably applies to all those new nVidia Tegra-based tablets coming to market over the next few months):...
I tested with a couple of mixed file formats tonight. Tests were done using Plugplayer as the DLNA client, and Moboplayer as the video player. I tested Rockplayer on a few files, and results were...
Now that I got PlugPlayer running on my Xoom I'll start experimenting with this a bit. If you need someone to try out device profiles just let me know.
Awesome - worked perfectly :) Thanks!
Hi,
PlugPlayer currently is unable to discover uPnP device under Android 3.0. The author recommends manually specifying the device URL for the time being.
What would be the URL for Mezzmo? He...
I've started spending more time here the past few days trying to get a good DLNA solution on Android due to my recent acquisition of a Motorola Xoom tablet (Android 3.0 device). So far it's kinda...
Nice :) Will it work recursively? For example with the following folder structure:
TV shows
+--The Simpsons
+--series.xml
+--Folder S01
+-- episode 101, 102, 103......
Live Plus won't play all five channels if AAC 5.1. It uses the same firmware code as the Live, except for the Netflix playback that's added to it (they both use the same 1.04 code base from Sigma),...
The Live Hub is basically the same hardware as the Live Plus (exact same processor from Sigma - MP8654), except they added an internal HDD, and use a newer revision of the SDK used to build the OSD. ...
Conceiva being based in Australia, their tech support can often be 12 hours behind the American and European customers. But my personal experience after about a year using their product is they...
It can use as many cores as available, however you might need to modify your device profile - I'm not sure if by default transcoding uses all available cores, or is limited to a specific number of...
Have you tried using Recuva to recover your deleted files? You probably would have a good chance at recovering the majority of your files using this free utility.
Unfortunately, Mezzmo doesn't support live streams at this time :( But I think it's something they are considering for a future version.
No idea what could help you proxy that, sorry. Look around...
Search the App Store for "DLNA Client". There are 4-5 of them, some of which are free. The names escape me at the moment, but you can also find posts referring to them on these forums if you want...
Hm. Hang on then, I'm sure someone from Conceiva will get back to you and help you through this. Just for the record, I myself use Mezzmo under Win7 64-bit without any issue, so it's definitely...
Check in the Windows Event Viewer - there might be additional information there. Open your Start Menu, and in the search field type "eventvwr.msc".
Look under Windows Logs-> System and Windows...
Provide file information (size and bitrate), and also what type of network connection you have.
This is probably done client-side. For example, the WDTV Live can select which audio channel you want to hear. I doubt it's currently possible server-side (from Mezzmo), unless someone knows...
Mezzmo will automatically pick up new files created in the folders you tell it to watch.
Since this would be a loaded question for the Conceiva folks to answer, allow me to step in. ;)
I tried a couple of DLNA servers over time. I ended up settling with Mezzmo for a few reasons:

Yep, they've made some changes to profiles which causes a lot of files that used to play natively to now get transcoded (that's probably why some of you can't fast forward or rewind).
You need to...
I un-commented it and restarted the server. Everything back to normal now. Thanks :)
Hi,
Since I upgraded to 2.1.12, files that used to play directly on my WDTV are now being transcoded. Those are plain Xvid+MP3 videos (I tried with different files).
I checked, and Mezzmo is...
