    Default Folder limit?

As my trial period winds down, I've discovered that I cannot access my music folders past the "Toms" -- long way to Zevon and ZZ Top. I thought there was no folder limit. I'm running Mezzmo on a PC to a Sony BD 570. Is this a problem with the Sony?

    thx

Mezzmo does not have a limit on the amount of file you can put in it. We have 100s of thousands of files we have added to it here in the office. I am not sure about the Sony BD. I will ask Dennis when he gets back from holidays.

    Thank you, Adric.

I just figured out that I can see 999 folders (these are music folders organized by artist names) out of 1,074, on the Sony. That number would seem to indicate a limit.

I have over 1000+ movies and Mezzmo can see it fine. So can my WDTV Live.. Sounds like a problem with the sony..

Could be. These are artist folders that I have; inside each are multiple albums in most cases, with each album a bunch of music files. So it's thousands of music files.

Funny thing is, I tried the Serviio servier, and it shows 1,064 folders out of 1,074 --- just 10 short.

    Odd.

As Adric says, Mezzmo does not have any limits of files/folders/playlists.

The problem may be the amount of data being sent to the Sony BDP, rather than the actual number of folders. The Sony BDP may have a limit on the number of bytes that it can receive in one go, and your huge list of folders is exceeding this byte limit. Serviio is showing a few more folders than Mezzmo since it may not be sending as much meta data information about each folder as Mezzmo does. We'll take a look at this issue with our Sony BDP and see if we can improve the Mezzmo device profile for it.

    Thanks, Paul.
Santa brought us an LG46LD550 TV, and is DLNA cert as well. It displays far fewer folders than even Sony.

On the other hand, using Mezzmo for video files to the LG works perfectly: no stuttering at all, as happens with the Sony.

Some devices do indeed have limits on the number of folders and/or files they can display.

Can you please turn on logging (see this thread: http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread...nostic-logging) then browse the Artist folder using your BD (we have a different model here, so it's best if we get your specific results first) and once you don't see a full listing, stop the server and send us the logs to support (at) conceiva (dot) com and I'll take a look.

Thanks, Dennis, I'll try to get to that tonight.
