Humax FOXSAT HDR - Playback Not Available
Hello,
I have a Humax FOXSAT-HDR freesat+ box. I have been copying files from it to my PC and want to stream them to my Sony Bravia TV using Mezzmo.
Windows Media Player manages to stream the files but with Mezzmo, I get "Playback not Available". Is this expected?
I think the files are MPEG2 ts files but they have some extra data in them as explained here - http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/forums/s...d.php?t=964264.
Can you tell me if/when Mezzmo will support these files?
Regards,
Steve

Hello Steve,
Can you please right-click on one of those files in Mezzmo then use the "Get FFmpeg Information" command and post the results here?
-
Here's the data for one of the files - it plays OK in WMP and VLC.

Thanks - they look like they should play ok. Can you please send us one of those files so that we could test it here (via a site like www.megaupload.com for example)? Or, if you can't, please turn on logging (see this thread: http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread...nostic-logging) then try playing one of those files on your TV using Mezzmo and once it fails, stop the server and send the logs to support (at) conceiva (dot) com

File uploaded to http://www.megaupload.com/?d=ERKQ2LH5
Tried streaming from Mezzmo to Sony - Playback Not Available.
Logs to follow shortly.
-
Thanks - we'll test it here and get back to you.
-
I've emailed the logs to you as well.
Thanks for your help.

Any news on this issue? Latest version of Mezzmo does not fix the problem. From what I've read, it should be easy to strip out the redundant data. I'm not sure how you identify that the files need processing though.

Sorry for the delay - someone should get back to you soon. Mezzmo determines whether a file should be transcoded or not based on the container and the first video and the first audio codec it finds (and then matching that to the device profile).
