I think I asked this once before - can we have an option to pre-pend the track number when it gets sent to the Sammy devices when browsing an album category?
OK - I'll make sure this is added to our development task list.

Dang. My Samsung E Series TV does this too. Will not play by track #.
Make sure you are sorting your playlist/folder by track in Mezzmo. Right-click on the playlist in the tree in Mezzmo and click Properties. In the Playlist / Folder Properties dialog, use the 'Sort by' setting to adjust the way the files are sorted. Click OK and then you should see your files listed in the order you chose in Mezzmo. Mezzmo will deliver this order to all your devices and most devices display them in this order - except for the few that always (stupidly) display them in alphabetic order.

Has a feature/workaround like this been added yet (since the posting of this in 2013)? Samsung Smart TV is still alphabetizing by id3 tag song title rather than by track number.
(For the life of me, if the feature has already been added, have no idea where to look to turn it on.)
Thanks..
Yes - Mezzmo has a feature called Displayed Titles, where you can customize the titles to whatever you like. See this FAQ - http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread...ur-media-files.
Display titles are especially useful for devices (such as your TV) that has firmware that always sorts the file list alphabetically (even though Mezzmo server delivers the list of files in the order that you want). See this post for a workaround for your TV - http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread...8294#post28294.

Thanks -- it works beautifully. I should note that it was potentially confusing at first, though, since, from what I could tell, it seems when you apply Displayed Titles settings to a folder, it doesn't always apply to subfolders. For example, when I applied to the overall "Music" folder, the settings didn't apply to any of what was in "Album Artist", "All Music Files", "Artist", "Composer", "File Type", "Folders", "Genre", etc. I had to apply the settings to each of those folders (at which point the contents of each of *their* subfolders then were subject to the settings). This had me wondering if I had to do something to make the settings take effect, such as refresh or maintain the library, when in fact they did take effect,
just not to the subfolders I thought they did to.
At least, I'm pretty sure this is what was happening. I might've missed something. But in any case it is a powerful feature.
Glad it works well for you . It's very flexible & powerful feature that lets you configure your media collection as you like.
You are right - each playlist or folder has its own Display Titles. Display Titles do not get auto-inherited into playlists and folders under a playlist/folder.
