Default I've had Mezzmo for about a year, but still can't get it to work. It won't add files.

I've tried adding iTunes music, mp3, photos, videos, but it just hangs for a while and then when it's done, none of the files are there for sharing on my other devices. Windows 7, Home Premium 64 bit. Intel Core i7 six-core, 3.2 GHz, 12 GB Ram, 2 TB HD. A few of the files show up in the Mezzmo window, but they don't show up on any other devices (smart phone, Smart TV, PS3 or Galaxy Tab. I've tried drag and drop, or using the menu "add files", but there doesn't seem to be an easy way to simply add the files I want to have available on the server. I'm kind of sorry that I paid for this thing, but wanted to ask before I uninstall it and take the loss. And, yes, I have uninstalled it and reinstalled the latest version, 2.4.5.0. I have read here where people are using it to do what it's supposed to do, but I don't get any errors. It just doesn't work. It does connect to my devices, but there's no content to play. If I look at music for example, there are no songs. Same for photos and videos. Any help would be welcome. Thanks.

The best thing to do is to enable logging (see this thread: http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread...nostic-logging) then connect to Mezzmo from one of your devices and try browsing a folder that should have files. Once no files show up, stop the server and send the logs to support and we'll sort this out.

You do see files in Mezzmo GUI, right?

One of the easiest ways to add files is to use the "Add Folder" command available from the "Add To Library" toolbar item.

Dennis, thanks for the response. But I've had to uninstall. I was getting messages that the server couldn't be started, or stopped, because a file couldn't be found. Then I got an error when trying to start the upgrade, that another file was missing, and when I tried to uninstall, it said mezzmo was running, but it wasn't. I had some older setup.exe files, and one of then worked, so I thought, but first it said it was a trial version, and that I had to buy mezzmo after the expiry, but I have already bought it and registered it. But anyway then that install gave me errors as well. I tried an earlier version, which seemed to install, and then I was able to uninstall completely, library and all. Now I don't know where to get another good install, which I've paid for, but apparently can't get as an upgrade either, since that was how most of this mess began, when trying to update what used to be at least a partially functioning program. I don't expect a refund, since I'm sure that's out of the question. Maybe you can suggest some alternate server software for my system. Thanks again.
