Unhappy LG BD670 Display, Connection and playback issues.

I have two LG BD 670 certified DLNA Blu-Ray players. One in my living room, hooked up to my Sony KDL-EX720 and the other in my bed room to my Vizio XVT. The one in my living room is connected to my DIR-655 router via an ethernet cable. and the one in my bed room is connected wirelessly. A couple of issues:

    1) Connection:
    a) Mezzmo did not even detect my wirelessly connected Blu-Ray, I had to create a manual profile.
    b) Also had to downgrade the connection from a N to a G connection to avoid serious stuttering issues during playback. (ironic since the g is a slower connection)
    c) Mezzmo routinely loses connection, on both the wired and wireless and I have to refresh it constantly. The PC and server and running the whole time (no sleep mode etc).

I know that someone on the forum has the same issue and Dennis seemed to have figured out that it was a profile issue. Could you please email me the fixed new profile.

    2) Display:
    a) Mezzmo does not display any of my music files or photos although I can see them on my PC via mezzmo. I have double checked the folder settings and I can going through the right menu on the LG player. Any ideas? My Sony is DLNA capable and has no problem seeing the music or photos.

Hoping to hear from you soon.

    Cheers,
    Slyck

If a device wasn't detected by Mezzmo automatically, then that's the first issue I'd look at. Creating a manual profile will not work properly in most cases (because it wasn't detected, it means some communications were blocked and a manual profile will have same issues).

Did you go through this post: http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread...ur-DLNA-device to see if any of those apply in your case? If you haven't, please do that first, then delete the manual profile you've created and restart the server. See if it picks up the wireless BDP on its own or not.

Also, can you please confirm that you're using the latest released Mezzmo v2.3.2?

Regarding not seeing files - please turn on logging (see this thread: http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread...nostic-logging), then try browsing one of those folders and once no files come up, stop the server and send the logs to support (at) conceiva (dot) com and we'll take a look.

    Yes, I am running 2.3.2.

My router has UPNP turned on, but it does not seem to cause issues with the wired connection so why the issue only when connected wirelessly (exact same player)? None of the others apply.

Interestingly enough, apart from having to refresh to display the server, the manual profile streams 1080p video wirelessly without issues.

I'll turn on logging and mail the required data to you.

    Cheers,
    Slyck

Yes, perhaps the logs will show us what's happening better.

Please do not post logs here, just zip them up and send to support (at) conceiva (dot) com. Thanks

Did you restart the server? We need the files from MezzmoMediaServer.exe folder.

If you use the View Log Files button in the Options dialog, does it show two folders? If it does, go in to MezzmoMediaServer.exe folder and see if there's a "Logging" file there. If there is, then logging is turned on and you need to restart the server, if there isn't, then logging didn't get turned on.
